That for me, wouldn't have made the same impact as a viewer.

There is so much truth in that little sentence, because for me as viewer it sometimes becomes hard caring about my favourite characters when confronted with a vid in which they weep for 3:30 minutes. Exploiting weaknesses is half the fun for a vidder, but there needs to be some kind of balance to make me actually care. Almost like a turnaround from the good old ‘Show – don’t tell’-rule which applies to storytelling. If you zoom to close into a character there is a good chance that I as viewer really don’t like what I see or don’t agree with the conclusion.

I mean obviously vidding is about showing emotions and what touches our cold hearts as viewers, but one noted vids that linger to long on one aspect bore me personally, if its only tears and no reasons.
