No, you need to make a black/white (alpha) mask of the logo.
I used this one for the CW (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v732/xAstartex/cwlogo2.jpg) and that one for the CityTV (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v732/xAstartex/citylogo2.jpg) logo as bmp, both from screencaps of my source. Also both done in PS and it's a bit fiddling on the coordinates till they covered up the right spot. If you use a HD avi instead of that mkv-file, it's most likely you need to adjust the mask and the coordinates. Hope that clears things up, if not just ask again...
