And yeah, the strange thing about Season 8 is that Scully still is awesome, she just has her baby first and centre on her mind, so her not doing the stunts and action sequences feels like a big old cheat for me. And I agree about Reyes – she should have been brought in, instead of Doggett or a downgraded Skinner. He didn’t have any authority left anyway at the end of S7. Doggett as Reyes loyal partner and then shake up some gender roles. Plus Krycek as a more regular guest.
God, I still want that season with Scully and Krycek working together to find Mulder and Marita being awesome and ambigious and just the whole cast hot and not pregnant and kicking as s- fighting the future like there is no tomorrow. I never got over Skinner killing Rat!Boy even when I have rewritten that scene instantly.
