when of if I started shipping it. Early Season 1 - They were the female mirror image of Arthur/Merlin, slightly out of focus but still strong and there. my thoughts: The writers screwed them over. So badly. God. The moment Gwen became Arthur's love interest her relationships with all other characters either stalled or degenerated into fuzzy nothingness. What makes me happy about them: They started out so sweet and they look so perfect together, that when their relationship went bad, I was really hoping for a fucking huge bang. What makes me sad about them: That the show didn't care enough about them to work through their issues, because they had a shit ton of history and did get the short-stick. I was surprised that we even got a few scenes in Season four, building on their foundation of earlier seasons. things done in fanfic that annoys me: The fics I have read so far, where all pretty good and way better than what we got on the show. things I look for in fanfic: I love when they explore Morgana's powers and how the future dictates the present for her. It makes for compelling storylines, that feel slightly unhinged and inevitable even when they come through them unscarred. My kinks: Protective Morgana doing awful stuff to spare Gwen pain. Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: Gwen/Lancelot and Morgana/Merlin, these couples could timeshare Arthur between them. My happily ever after for them: Gwen moving into Morgana's hut and brightening up the place with a few flowers and iron restraints used for pleasure.
