But still one of the best shows ever written, before they keep the patient alive for too long... I would even say, that season 8 was a great farewell season, if they, you know had said Goodbye at the end. Never watched season 9 and I don't know, if I ever gather up the courage to do so. I just keep pretending that it ended with the family portray...

I hear ya. and Season 9 was scary, the sad kind of scary. Dogget got shot or hurt in every episode.
