We had an Italian New Year again this time with Sandra and the family of Denis goddaughter. Very good, luckily restrained on the drinking front and with lots of firework.

I was talking with my sis yesterday and she thinks the smoking man might be a traditional ‘Wurzelmann’ (root man) from the Black Forrest – men carved out of roots. It’s likely she is right. And yeah, I’m resistant when it comes to Christmas market, but everything else seems fair game to waste money.
