So the last collaboration was something over two years in the making, this one was done in under three days. And yet, I still had to prepare so much footage. How is that even possible? Oh right, because we doubled the fandoms, that's why.

Xandra and I did it again - our third public vid collaboration is posted over at astandra_lay. It's an examination of incest in various forms and shades on TV.

Seems like February was the month to get shit done for me. I was working on this vid more off than on for about a year, various distractions later it's finally done. Lilah in all her DVD glory and a new concept for the shortened song. I concentrated on finishing this after my other remastering project crashed and burned in a fashion that makes me weep for my own failure to remember to make hundreds of back-ups along the way, because there is always a new way to kick my ass in that regard. I think I rewarded myself with this vid most of all and now I can continue to stare mournfully at Wesley in an export of a vid project that was more than halfway done, before it became corrupted. Maybe this is karma or just Lilah getting her revenge, because I neglected her so often.

So I was randomly listening to music to find a good threesome song, when 'Broken' came on and between thinking, 'Wow, this is so Xander!' and setting up my vid project, Xandra had barely time to give her approval. The only downside was me getting distracted by actually watching eps while vidding and finding a new affection for Xander. He was never my favorite, but boy has he issues and that newfound knowledge makes him even more attractive. So five minutes is epic for a vid, but I feel like Willow and Xander share enough history to fill them up. Plus I had seven minutes of more clips I couldn't fit in and having the luxury to pick is always a plus.

So this started out a week ago with Xandra being bored and uninspired - always a dangerous mood -, which quickly escalated into her our first Remix-Challenge. Who am I to try to resist her anyway? 'Dizzy' was the first vid of hers that came to mind and yepp, it was fun - AUs tend to do that to me. *stares at unused Billiard and Torture scenes* While editing I kinda got why Xandra had the Xander subplot in her vid, because I found so many scenes that could be interpreted in an angsty threesome way and maybe I will do that vid some other day.

'Bite you' is a fun Darla party and a Non-Christmas present for xandra_ptv in celebration of our unholy love. It's easy to dedicate a video to her when she said lovely stuff like, 'This song is clearly Darla/Lindsey - What the hell is Angel doing on your timeline?' And then I began from scratch, because obviously Lindsey didn't need Angel as build up.

Not really much to say about this vid, it was done fast and dirty. I heard the song while my mp3-player was on shuffle and it seemed like an interesting take on Jo’s journey and how meeting the Winchesters had an impact in her life. I tried to stay away from being overly melodramatic and so the whole thing came out rather straight forward.

The Reckoning was actually our first joint vid and an examination of multi fandom femme slash which lead naturally to the male slash one we posted back in June. xandra_ptv and I were mostly sitting on this one for half a year – time flies. Heh.
