Dean withdrawing into himself was a big part of the video and him closing off under the burden of responsibility his dad left him, just felt right. It’s one of the things I really love in the acoustic part before the lyrics kick up, after John looks for reassurance from Sam, you only see Dean in the shadows, from behind or disappearing behind something.
